חמאם החלומות של אמיל
"בתור ילד בעיר העתיקה בעכו הייתי הולך פעם בשבוע עם אבא שלי לחמאם המקומי", מספר אמיל גטאס ועיניו נוצצות. "כשתושבי העיר התחילו להתקין בבתים דודי שמש כבר לא היה צורך בחמאם, והשניים שפעלו בעיר נסגרו ב־1970. אבל אני לא שכחתי אותם. בכל מקום שהגעתי אליו בעולם חיפשתי את החמאם הטורקי האותנטי, ופנטזתי על הרגע שבו אפתח אחד משלי", הוא אומר.

"את אחת החוויות הכי טובות בביקור הקצר בעכו עברנו בחמאם גטאס. לא הכרנו את המקום שנמצא בבית אבן מאחורי המסעדה המפורסמת "אורי בורי", מול הים. כשנכנסנו קיבל אותנו אמיל גטאס (64), שהגשים לפני כמה שנים חלום ילדות ואחרי 25 שנים של עבודה באינטל פתח בעכו עיר הולדתו חמאם טורקי אמיתי, בדיוק כמו שזכר מהתקופה שהיה צעיר."
